Role Overview
The Financial Controller will serve as the Finance Head for India while also playing a key role in the financial consolidation, reporting, and accounting for Syfe’s international entities in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Australia. This role requires deep expertise in IFRS, end-to-end controllership, and experience working in a Fintech or highly regulated digital financial services environment.
What You’ll Do
India Finance Leadership
Act as the Finance Head for India, overseeing all financial operations, statutory reporting, and compliance.
Manage India entity financial statements, audits, tax filings, and regulatory submissions.
Ensure strong internal controls, risk management, and financial governance.
Global Financial Consolidation & Reporting
Lead monthly and quarterly accounting and bookkeeping across India, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Australia.
Deliver accurate and timely management reporting, board packs, and financial analyses.
Maintain alignment with group accounting policies and IFRS standards.
Liaise with auditors for group and entity-level audits.
Multi-Entity Accounting & Process Excellence
Oversee day-to-day accounting across regions, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local statutory requirements.
Strengthen global accounting processes, financial controls, and reporting automation.
Collaborate cross-functionally to support new product launches and assess financial impacts.
Drive improvements in reconciliations, the chart of accounts, and month-end close timelines.
Stakeholder Management
Work closely with the HOD Finance and senior leadership across geographies.
Serve as the primary finance partner for India and cross-regional teams.
Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, regulatory authorities, and banking partners.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Have:
Chartered Accountant (CA) with minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience.
Mandatory Fintech industry experience.
Strong technical expertise in IFRS, group consolidation, and multi-entity accounting.
Experience working in a global environment.
Proven track record in statutory audits, financial reporting, and controllership.
Preferred:
Experience in high-growth or scaling environments.
Exposure to MAS, ASIC, or other APAC regulatory frameworks.
Knowledge of ERP systems and automation tools.
