The Right Profile

This position is part of our investment team at Syfe, focusing on quantitative research, portfolio analytics, and portfolio construction. The ideal candidate should have 2-5 years of experience in these areas and will play a key role in developing and refining investment algorithms to enhance Syfe’s portfolio offerings. Additionally, this role will contribute to the design and launch of innovative investment products and strategies, ensuring they are driven by data and aligned with Syfe’s systematic approach to portfolio management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quantitative research to improve portfolio construction, asset allocation, and risk management strategies.

  • Support daily trading across our multi-asset portfolios, ensuring efficient implementation of investment strategies and rebalancing decisions.

  • Maintain investment models and perform backtesting to validate investment strategies.

  • Contribute to our investment performance and analytics database to support decision-making.

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of new investment portfolios based on quantitative insights.

  • Support the investment advisory and marketing teams by providing performance, risk, and product analytics for client and prospect engagement.


Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in quantitative research, investment analytics, or portfolio construction.

  • Degree in Quantitative Finance, Mathematics or Sciences (postgraduate qualification preferred).

  • Strong programming skills in Python for data analysis and model development.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team, balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail-oriented, organised, and analytical, with a strong problem-solving mindset.

  • Prior experience in portfolio construction, asset allocation, risk management or factor-based investing is a strong plus.

  • Experience with trading execution and portfolio rebalancing across multiple asset classes is a strong plus.
