The Right Profile
We are seeking a VP of Marketing & Growth to develop and execute a strategic marketing vision and roadmap that drives growth and helps the company meet its business objectives. As a member of our management team, this person will leverage their experience working in high growth companies to accelerate customer acquisition and grow our existing customer base. The VP of Marketing will also help to establish our brand identity and category leadership, by defining clear market positioning and creating compelling content that communicates our value proposition and differentiates Syfe.
The VP will oversee a small team of marketing professionals that will grow over time and should be comfortable being a hands-on resource in our lean startup environment. Consistent with our culture, this leader should be transparent in their communications and bold when it comes to facing challenges and taking risks.
This role offers significant growth potential, with the opportunity to take on increasing responsibilities and expand leadership influence within the organisation. For the right candidate, this position may evolve into a C-level leadership role, based on performance and business needs, within 1 to 2 years.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy and tactical plans to meet and exceed the company's business objectives.
- Establish go-to-market plans and materials for specific products and solutions that engage our target audiences and accelerate opportunities in current and future markets.
- Determine, analyse and share KPIs related to marketing impact and performance, including reporting against forecasted results on a regular basis.
- Create brand assets and content that tell Syfe's story and position the company as a trusted leader in the workforce development space.
- Effectively convey Syfe's differentiation in the market based on a thorough understanding of our customers, competitors and our category.
- Contribute as an active member of the leadership team generating and developing ideas, providing constructive feedback, and partnering to determine company-wide priorities and maintain company culture.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10+ years experience with a focus on marketing and growth roles in the last couple of years.
- Extensive experience working in high growth companies beyond funding round A, showcasing a successful track record of contributing to rapid expansion.
- In-depth knowledge of user acquisition, growth hacking, and retention strategies in a high growth context.
- Building and developing high performing teams.
- Deep experience planning and managing demand generation programs that leverage cross-channel tactics resulting in exponential revenue growth.
- Analytical leader who develops and tracks against forecasts and who leverages performance metrics, market analysis and customer insights for key decisions.
- Previous success in building a brand to establish credibility and awareness.
